Late Evening Pedestrian Accident on 94 Freeway near Grant Hill Ends in Fatality

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 5, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on 94 Freeway near Grant Hill neighborhood of San Diego, late Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 10:58 p.m. on April 3 at 28th Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was walking along the first lane of the westbound freeway when a vehicle struck him.
 
Firefighters arrived and performed CPR on the pedestrian. Sadly, the victim did not survive and died at the scene.
 
Initial reports did not indicate whether the involved vehicle had stopped after hitting the victim.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
