Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 91 Freeway in Bellflower

 
BELLFLOWER, CA (April 6, 2021) – One person was killed Sunday evening in a pedestrian accident on 91 Freeway in Bellflower, authorities said.
 
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on April 4 at the Clark Avenue off-ramp from the westbound freeway. The California Highway Patrol did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but the confirmed that the pedestrian died at the hospital.
 
The coroner’s will release the victim’s identity once next of kin is notified.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert in the area, shutting down the Clark Avenue off-ramp from the westbound Artesia Freeway while they worked on the scene. The off-ramp was reopened at about 11:50 p.m.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. An investigation into this fatal accident is ongoing.
