Fatal Car Accident Reported on Highway 99 at Avenue 152 in Tipton

 
TIPTON, CA (September 6, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a car accident on Highway 99 on September 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just north of Avenue 152.
 
Based on reports, a Ford vehicle was traveling northbound on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it veered off the road and crashed. Officials said it went to the dirt center divider, into a dirt embankment and through a fence.
 
As a result, the impact ejected the female driver from the car. Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials only identified her as a 62-year-old woman from West Sacramento.
 
Another woman stayed inside the car with her seatbelt on. She suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
 
At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
