Car Crashes on Foothill Boulevard in Fontana Leaving One Person Dead

 
FONTANA, CA (March 30, 2023) – One person died and another was injured after a car accident on Foothill Boulevard in Fontana Sunday evening on March 26.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:14 p.m. at Ilex Street in the far western area of the city. According to the Fontana Police Department, a silver Ford Focus was traveling eastbound on Foothill Boulevard when the driver lost control and struck the raised center median several times. The car then became airborne, struck two palm trees and large rocks, and landed on its side.
 
As a result, one of the occupants in the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
Another person was injured and was treated at the hospital.
 
At this time, the cause and factors of the crash remain under investigation.
