Multi-Vehicle Accident on Union Pacific Avenue in East LA Leaves 1 Dead

 
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (August 23, 2021) – One person died in a multiple-vehicle accident at Union Pacific Avenue and Atlantic Boulevard Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 8 p.m. on August 22. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black and white sedan, a black pickup truck and two other vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics evaluated five patients, three of them were taken to a hospital. The other two declined further treatment.
 
Sadly, one of the patients that were transported did not survive and was declared dead. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
