BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 13, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 99 near Olive Drive Monday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. on July 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, traffic alert page shows that several cars were involved. They did not indicate how the crash occurred, but at least one person died as a result of the accident.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
