Early Morning Multi-Vehicle Accident on 80 Freeway in Vacaville Leaves 1 Dead

 
VACAVILLE, CA (August 13, 2021) – One person died in a multi-vehicle accident on 80 Freeway early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:55 a.m. on August 12, near the split with 505 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle crossed all lanes and hit several other vehicles.
 
First responders found one person ejected from one of the vehicles. They attempted saving the patient, but the victim died at the scene.
 
Crews closed all eastbound lanes of 80 Freeway while they worked on the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available. CHP officials are still working on this fatality to determine the factors involved and liability.
