MONTEREY PARK, CA (February 2, 2021) – One person died in a multi-vehicle accident on 60 Freeway Monday afternoon, January 25.
 
The accident happened just before 2:30 p.m. near the Atlantic Boulevard off-ramp.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, multiple vehicles collided on the freeway for unknown reasons.
 
Officers arrived and confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident. They did not release the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
There were no reports of other injuries sustained from the accident.
 
Crews shut down three freeway lanes for over two hours while they worked on the scene.
