Late Evening Multi-Vehicle Accident on 505 Freeway in Vacaville Ends in Fatality

 
VACAVILLE, CA (November 12, 2021) – At least one person died in a multi-vehicle accident on 505 Freeway late Thursday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened a little after 10:45 p.m. on November 11, along the southbound lanes of the freeway, just north of Midway Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, several vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
Officers responded and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
As of 11:15 p.m., all southbound lanes of the highway were closed in the area and at least one northbound lane was closed due to debris in the roadway.
 
CHP officials are still investigating to determine the cause and whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
