Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway in Pomona Kills 1 and Sends 2 to Hospital

 
POMONA, CA (July 3, 2021) – One person died in a multi-vehicle accident on 10 Freeway in Pomona Friday afternoon, July 2.
 
The accident happened just before 2:50 p.m. near the 57 Freeway. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but they confirmed that one person died at the scene.
 
Two additional patients were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
 
Crews closed the carpool and two left lanes of the 10 Freeway for over an hour while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, it is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
