SONOMA, CA (January 17, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a multi-car accident on Highway 116 in Sonoma on Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:15 a.m. along State Gulch Road near Watmaugh Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, multiple cars collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
 
Officers arrived and found at least one fatality. The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
