One Dead in Hayward Multi-Car Crash on 880 Freeway

 
HAYWARD, CA (June 21, 2021) — One person died in a multi-car accident on the 880 Freeway near Highway 238 Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-car collision happened around 3:03 am. Under unknown circumstances, one person in a vehicle lost control and collided with several drivers.
 
As a result, one person died in the accident, yet the victim’s identity has not been confirmed pending notification of family members.
 
At this time, the cause of the accident requires further investigation. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the CHP officers.
