Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Sedan on Foothill Freeway in Claremont
CLAREMONT, CA (November 2, 2021) – One person died in a motorcycle accident on Foothill (210) Freeway in Claremont Friday afternoon.
The accident happened around 4:18 p.m. on October 15, along the eastbound lanes of the freeway at the Base Line Road off-ramp. CHP officials said the motorcyclist collided with a Lexus sedan for unknown reasons.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Their name was not released pending notification of their next of kin.
Paramedics also evaluated a second person at the scene, but the condition of the patient was not specified.
Crews closed the carpool, first and second lanes of the eastbound Foothill Freeway for at least two hours while they cleared the wreckage.
At this time, the circumstances of this fatal crash remain under investigation.
