Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Pickup Truck Trailer in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 29, 2022) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident at Elm Avenue at Mt. Whitney Avenue on Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:20 p.m. on August 26. According to the California Highway Patrol, an adult male motorcyclist in the slow-moving traffic decided to pass traffic.
 
As he re-entered the lane, he did not see a stopped pick-up pulling a trailer. As a result, the motorcyclist collided into the rear of the trailer that had come to a stop.
 
The impact ejected the motorcyclist onto the roadway. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Alcohol or drugs did appear to be a factor in the crash. However, further investigation is underway.
