Motorcyclist Dies after Downtown LA Crash with Car on 10 Freeway

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (October 17, 2022) – One person died in a motorcycle accident on 10 Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday morning, October 14.
 
The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection with Alameda Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white SUV or sedan collided with the motorcycle along the westbound freeway. The impact sent the motorcycle down in the roadway.
 
The motorcycle rider suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
Crews blocked two westbound freeway lanes while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
