Police Search for Hit-and-Run Suspect after Fatal Crash on 80 Freeway in Vallejo

 
VALLEJO, CA (May 18, 2022) – One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash on 80 Freeway in Vallejo, early Sunday morning on May 15.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:33 a.m. just south of the Magazine Street on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
 
When they arrived, they found the pedestrian suffering from fatal injuries and pronounced them dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The involved vehicle was not at the scene. However, they found the license plate of a white pickup truck at the scene.
 
Authorities later located the truck in Vacaville, but the hit-and-run suspect remains at large.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
