Rollover Accident on 10 Freeway in Redlands Kills 1 Passenger

 
REDLANDS, CA (June 29, 2022) – One person died and four others were injured in a rollover accident on 10 Freeway in Redlands on Sunday evening, June 26.
 
The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. at the Ford Street off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2022 Toyota car was traveling westbound on the freeway when it blew a tire as it passed the Ford Street exit. It then veered across the freeway, struck a curb and rolled over down an embankmentand.
 
As a result, one of the passengers was thrown from the car. A passerby performed CPR on the man, the Redlands Fire Department said. Paramedics then rushed him to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he later died.
 
The victim was a 30-year-old man from Mexico. Authorities will release his name once family members are notified.
 
Four other people were injured, two of them had minor injuries and were not wearing seat belts. The driver and another passenger, who were wearing seat belts, suffered moderate injuries.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still investigating the fatal crash.
