One Dead After Rollover Accident on Crazy Horse Canyon Road in Prunedale
PRUNEDALE, CA (September 21, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a head-on accident on Crazy Horse Canyon Road on September 13.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened during the early morning traffic.
Based on an initial report, a Nissan was traveling on the road at the time of the crash. At the same time, a 2005 Toyota Sienna was traveling in the opposite direction. Due to unknown reasons, the Nissan attempted to pass a Peterbilt truck in front of it. Subsequently, it crashed into the Toyota head-on. Also, the impact caused the Nissan to collide with the side of the Peterbilt’s first trailer.
As a result, the driver of the Toyota suffered injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported the victim who later died at the hospital. Officials only identified the deceased as a 43-year-old Salinas resident. The four occupants of the Nissan suffered major injuries.
At this time, alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. In addition, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
