Fatal Rollover Accident on Highway 50 in Camino

 
CAMINO, CA (July 23, 2021) – One person was killed in a fiery rollover accident on Highway 50 in Camino Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 4:50 p.m. on July 16, at 5 Mile Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, an Audi was traveling southbound on the highway when it went directly into the path of a westbound Dodge Ram 2500 at the intersection. The Dodge hit the right passenger side of the Audi.
 
The impact caused the Audi to overturn into a drainage ditch and burst into flames. The driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The crash also caused major front damage to the Dodge. The 32-year-old driver sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, no arrests were made. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
