Fiery Multi-Vehicle Accident on 91 Freeway in Riverside Leaves 1 Dead and Injures 4 Others

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 29, 2022) – One person died in a fiery multi-vehicle accident on 91 Freeway in Riverside early Wednesday morning on July 27.
 
The accident happened around 12:48 a.m. at Adams Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, several vehicles collided on the eastbound freeway, two had overturned and one had burst into flames.
 
Fire from the crash spread to the brush behind an apartment building in the 8700 block of Indiana Avenue.
 
Responding officers confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
Paramedics transported four other people to a hospital, two of the patients were in critical condition.
 
The CHP issued a SigAlert in the area, closing all lanes of the freeway.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
