Car and Fuel Tanker Involved in Fatal Fiery Crash on 15 Freeway in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (November 24, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a fiery car crash on 15 Freeway on November 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Oak Hill Road at approximately 6:44 AM.
 
Based on a report, a fuel tanker truck was disabled in the lanes prior to the crash. As a silver Hyundai Accent attempted to pass another semi, it crashed into the truck. The San Bernardino County Fire arrived at the scene and located the Accent fully engulfed with fire. Subsequently, the fire had spread into vegetation.
 
As a result, firefighters pronounced one person deceased at the scene. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office did not yet release the victim’s name.
 
The official cause of the accident is under investigation by the Victorville CHP.
