One Dead in San Leandro DUI Crash on Davis Street On-Ramp

 
SAN LEANDRO, CA (August 10, 2021) — One person died in a DUI accident on the Davis Street on-ramp to the 880 Freeway early Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal solo-car accident happened around 3:00 a.m. Upon responding to the scene, officers found a silver Nissan Altima resting on its side on a concrete retaining wall.
 
Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced one passenger — who was trapped prior to their arrival — dead at the scene. Meanwhile, another team shuttled the driver to Highland Hospital in Oakland where officers arrested that person for DUI.
