One Fatally Injured in Car Crash on Highway 101 near Seaward Avenue

 
VENTURA, CA (August 10, 2021) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a car accident on Highway 101 in Ventura on Friday, August 6.
 
The incident happened at about 6:44 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 101, north of Seaward Avenue.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, they discovered a dark grey vehicle about 15 feet off the road in a ditch. The make and model of the car were not available.
 
Reports said that one person died as a result of the crash. The identity of the deceased is not yet released pending confirmation and notification of loved ones.
 
Police have not released how many people were part of the crash.
 
Traffic slowed down on Highway 101 due to the incident.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
