DUBLIN, CA (March 28, 2021) – One person died in a car accident on Altamont Pass Road in Dublin Saturday night, March 27.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:54 p.m. An unknown vehicle had crashed, blocking the westbound lanes of the road.
 
First responders tried saving the driver, but the victim died at the scene. The driver’s identity was not immediately available pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unclear if the driver was the sole occupant of the car.
 
CHP officials are still trying to determine if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.
