Afternoon Crash on 57 Freeway in Placentia Kills One

 
PLACENTIA, CA (August 29, 2022) – One person was killed in a car accident on 57 Freeway in Placentia on Sunday afternoon, August 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:50 p.m. along the southbound lanes of the freeway at Crowther Avenue. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred and how many vehicles were involved.
 
When they arrived, they found one fatality as a result of the accident. They withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
