Fatal Car Accident on 110 Freeway in Harbor Gateway

 
HARBOR GATEWAY, CA (February 2, 2021) – One person died after a car accident on 110 Freeway in Harbor Gateway, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:00 p.m. near the Redondo Beach Boulevard off-ramp.
 
Officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but they confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
 
Three lanes were shut down on the northbound Harbor Freeway, along with the Redondo Beach Boulevard off-ramp, as authorities investigated.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
 
CHP officials continue to investigate the cause of this fatal accident. They will release additional information once it becomes available.
