Minivan Crashes into Big Rig on 80 Freeway in Vacaville Killing the Driver and Seriously Injuring the Passenger

 
VACAVILLE, CA (January 11, 2022) – One person died in a big rig accident on 80 Freeway in Vacaville on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 5:00 a.m. on January 10 near Alamo Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, a minivan crashed into the big rig while changing lanes, causing the van to go off the road and overturn several times.
 
Paramedics arrived and found the driver and the passenger of the minivan suffering from major injuries. They rushed both patients to a hospital, where the driver later died.
 
The condition of the passenger was not immediately known.
 
Meanwhile, it is unclear if the occupant of the big rig sustained any injuries.
