Big Rig Accident on 10 Freeway in Blythe Kills at Least One

 
BLYTHE, CA (May 2, 2022) – At least one person died in a big rig accident on 10 Freeway in Blythe on Saturday night.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on April 30 near the Wiley’s Well Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig crossed westbound lanes to the eastbound side of the freeway for unknown reasons. It then went about 300 feet down an embankment.
 
The driver of another big rig stopped to check, the CHP said.
 
At least one fatality was found, but it was unclear who died in the crash.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
The circumstances of this crash remain under investigation.
