Biker Dies after Crash with Semi Truck on Dickenson Ferry Road in Merced County

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (October 29, 2021) – One person was killed in a bicycle accident on Dickenson Ferry Road in Merced County Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on October 28 at Gurr Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicyclist collided with a semi truck in unknown circumstances.
 
Officers arrived and located the bicyclist lying in the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
Crews shut down part of the roadway as they cleared the wreckage. Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
 
At this time, investigators are working to determine what led up to this deadly crash.
