Police Arrest DUI Suspect after Road Rage Ends in Crash Killing Innocent Driver

 
ANDERSON, CA (June 7, 2023) – One person died and Andrew Millner was arrested after a DUI road rage crash in Anderson Monday morning on June 5.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Highway 273 and Pinon Avenue. According to the Anderson Police Department, the 31-year-old suspect from Redding was driving after someone on a motorcycle after a road rage incident that began in the area of Highway 273 and Westside Road.
 
The two vehicles reached speeds in excess of 100 mph and failed to stop at multiple red lights as they drove from Redding to Anderson, police said.
 
Both vehicles approached the intersection of Highway 273 and Pinon Avenue and the motorcyclist stopped at a red light. Millner, who was driving a truck, did not stop and entered the intersection when he collided with an uninvolved motorist’s vehicle.
 
As a result, the driver of the uninvolved car suffered significant injuries and died in the hospital.
 
Police later determined that Millner was driving under the influence of drugs. They arrested him for murder, DUI, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
 
Millner had a prior DUI arrest, police added.
 
Further investigation is underway.
