One Hurt in Visalia Two-Car Crash at Walnut Avenue

 
VISALIA, CA (May 25, 2021) — One person was injured in a two-car accident at Walnut Avenue and Demaree Street Monday morning.
 
According to Visalia police officers, the crash happened around 5:15 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Frito-Lay truck ran a red traffic light while traveling eastbound. As a result, the truck smashed into a Dodge Challenger, causing the semi-truck to crash onto its side.
 
Soon after, police officers and paramedics arrived, transporting the truck driver to Kaweah Health Medical Center with minor injuries.
 
At this time, investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the Visalia police.
