Motorist Hurt after Two-Car Accident on Margarita Road and Winchester Road

TEMECULA, CA (March 4, 2021) — A motorist sustained injuries in a two-car accident on Margarita Road at around 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the incident happened on Margarita Road and Winchester Road.
Several engine crews responded to the location. They found two victims. One of the victims was trapped in the wreck with serious injuries.
Firefighters pried open the vehicle using industrial saws and then extricated the motorist.
Medics rushed the victim to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar. The injured person is in serious but stable condition. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity.
The other driver refused medical treatment.
Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate the circumstances behind the incident. There are no reports if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
Officials closed the intersection during the clearing operations.
