Traffic Accident on Otay Mountain Truck Trail near Dulzura Involves Border Patrol Vehicle and Civilian Car

 
DULZURA, CA (July 11, 2022) – One person was injured in an accident on the Otay Mountain Truck Trail near Dulzura on Saturday, July 9.
 
The accident happened around 6:45 p.m. According to the US Customs and Border Protection, a Border Patrol vehicle collided with a civilian vehicle in unclear circumstances.
 
Medics rushed to the site and found one civilian with injuries from the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the Border Patrol agent did not appear to have any injuries, though their condition is still being evaluated.
 
At this time, the CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash and factors invovled.
