Intersection Closed Following Crash on Highway 108 in Jamestown

 
JAMESTOWN, CA (December 26, 2022) — One person sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 108 at Rawhide Road in Jamestown on Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the December 22 incident took place at about 1 p.m. The crash involved three vehicles, the makes and models of which were not identified.
 
An initial investigation found that two of the vehicles initially collided head-on. The third vehicle subsequently rear-ended one of those vehicles.
 
Officials requested an ambulance to the scene to transport one person with major injuries to the hospital. Updates on the condition of the patient were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the aftermath of the crash blocked the westbound lane of Highway 108. Highway 108 at the Rawhide Road intersection reopened at about 3:20 p.m.
 
Whether speed or alcohol played a role in the incident is unknown at this time. The cause and the events leading to the crash remain under investigation.
