Multi-Vehicle Accident on 101 Freeway in San Jose Involves Box Truck, Injuries Reported

 
SAN JOSE, CA (November 30, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle accident on 101 Freeway in San Jose on Thursday, November 18.
 
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. just north of Guadalupe Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a box truck and several other vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The box truck overturned from the impact.
 
Paramedics immediately responded and found at least one patient with unspecified injuries. They took the person to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
CHP officials issued a severe traffic alert in the area, shutting down the northbound lanes of the freeway for over two hours. They re-opened all freeway lanes around 1:40 p.m.
 
At this time, it is unclear if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
