Driver Suffers Injuries after Semi Truck and Passenger Car Collide on Highway 99 in Sutter County

 
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 28, 2024) – One person was hurt in a semi truck rollover crash on Highway 99 in Sutter County Saturday morning on October 26.
 
The crash happened at O’Banion Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi truck with a trailer was traveling southbound on the highway when a passenger car, that was stopped on O’Banion Road, pulled out in front of the truck.
 
The semi tried to avoid the car but ended up sideswiping it. The semi overturned on its side, spilling a load of walnuts across the stretch of the highway.
 
CHP officers responded and took the driver of the semi to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
CalTrans closed the highway in both directions while they cleared the wreckage.
 
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in the crash, which remains under investigation.
