OAKLAND, CA (July 11, 2022) – One person was hurt in a pedestrian accident on 580 Freeway in Oakland on Wednesday evening, July 7.
 
The accident happened around 7:55 p.m. just east of 980 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Mazda 3 hit the pedestrian who was walking towards the right shoulder.
 
As a result, the pedestrian sustained minor injuries. Oakland firefighters responded and took the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment.
