Driver Suffers Injuries after Car Slams into House near Islay and Osos Streets in SLO

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (September 9, 2024) – One person was hurt in a car accident near Islay Street and Osos Street in San Luis Obispo on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on September 6. According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, a car drove over the sidewalk and plowed through a fence. It then collided into a house near the corner of Islay and Osos streets.
 
The car sustained minor damage to the exterior of the house, but did not enter it. There was no structural damage to the house.
 
First responders took the driver of the car to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
A passenger in the car was unharmed.
 
Police said DUI is not a suspected factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
