SAN DIEGO, CA (January 10, 2022) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a car crash on 15 Freeway in Scripps Ranch on Sunday, January 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved several vehicles and occurred at around 5:10 p.m. near Miramar Way.
 
Authorities said one person succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
 
The crash left debris strewn across the northbound lanes of the freeway. Officials closed the lanes to traffic until around 8:00 p.m.
