OCEANSIDE, CA (July 21, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident across Oceanside Boulevard on July 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 10:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, the pedestrian was on the tracks at the time of the crash. At that time, a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway train was traveling southbound on the tracks. Due to unknown circumstances, the train hit the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died in the incident. As of now, officials have not yet released the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
 
At this point, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating this fatal pedestrian accident across Oceanside Boulevard.
