One Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Cedar Avenue at Butler Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Cedar Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (September 27, 2021) – Authorities confirmed that one person died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Cedar Avenue on September 24.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Butler Avenue shortly before 8:00 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, a dark sedan struck the victim in the lanes. Officers believed the man was trying to get across the street. Subsequently, the driver of the sedan left the area going south on Cedar.
 
Authorities said when they arrived, they found the man in the middle of the street. As a result, the victim sustained multiple injuries. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition. Later on, police said the victim died at the hospital.
 
At this point, the Fresno Police Department is still investigating this pedestrian accident on Cedar Avenue.
