Pedestrian Dead in Accident on Indiana Avenue [Riverside, CA]

One Killed after Traffic Crash on Indiana Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (July 20, 2021) — One person died following a traffic accident on Indiana Avenue on Saturday, July 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, they received a call at 1:23 a.m. about the crash. Officers then responded to Van Buren Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.
 
Officials said that a vehicle allegedly hit the person at the intersection. Medics also rushed to the scene.
 
The name of the victim is not immediately available. It is also unclear how many vehicles were part of the incident and if anyone else sustained injuries.
 
A CHP spokeswoman said the incident was not a hit-and-run. There are no reports if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
