One Killed, Another Injured after Big Rig Crash on Highway 46 and Highway 33

 
LOST HILLS, CA (May 10, 2022) — A man died in a big rig accident on Highway 46 and Highway 33 on Saturday, May 7.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, an 88-year-old man driving a 2014 GMC truck east on Highway 46 failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Highway 33. Then, the semi crashed into the left side of a 2017 Kenworth making a left turn.
 
Medics declared the driver of the GMC dead at the scene of the crash. Officials have not yet released his identity and city of residence pending notification of loved ones.
 
Paramedics also rushed the 76-year-old woman traveling with the man to Kern Medical for the treatment of moderate injuries.
 
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have contributed to the collision.
