Stolen Car Slams Police Car in Accident on Esperson Court at Drouin Drive in Rio Vista
RIO VISTA, CA (July 18, 2022) – Police arrested a woman following a stolen car accident on Esperson Court on July 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Drouin Drive.
Based on a report, the 32-year-old Tracy woman stole a silver Toyota in San Rafael and drove it off the road with flat tires. The suspect also allegedly dragged the owner of the car behind the vehicle. The Rio Vista Police Department said officers were monitoring the car as it entered Rio when the woman rammed their vehicle. Then, the suspect fled west on Highway 12.
Subsequently, the car became stuck in a field on the north side of Highway 12 in Solano County. According to police, the 32-year-old woman surrendered at that point.
In the end, officers took the suspect to an area hospital before booking her into Solano County Jail in Fairfield.
At this point, an investigation is ongoing.
