SAN RAMON, CA (May 17, 2021) – A San Ramon police officer located and arrested one person following a hit-and-run on Crow Canyon Road on May 11.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Shoreline Drive shortly before 8:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, the officer pulled over the suspect for a traffic stop. Then, police said the suspect drove his car into the officer’s patrol car before leaving the scene.
 
As a result, the officer sustained minor injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
 
Afterward, police said the suspect’s car stopped due to engine failure on the freeway. So, the driver fled the scene on foot. Later on, another officer used a Taser on him before arresting him on suspicion of assault against a peace officer, felony evading, and violating probation.
 
At this point, this hit-and-run crash on Crow Canyon Road is still under investigation.
