Coroner Identifies Two Men Killed in Oroville Head-On Crash on Highway 70

 
OROVILLE, CA (March 8, 2022) – Nicholas Khraich and Ryan Clark died in a head-on accident on Highway 70 in Oroville, late Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:18 p.m. on March 4 near Cox Lane. CHP offcials said Khraich was driving a Chevrolet Sonic recklessly south on Highway 70 when he swerved into the north lane and collided head-on with a Toyota Camry, driven by Clark.
 
When officers arrived, one vehicle was on fire and the driver was inside. Officers used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out before it reached inside the car.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, both drivers died at the scene. Khraich was 23 years old while Clark was 39, according to the Butte County Coroner’s Office.
 
A 32-year-old woman in the Camry suffered major injuries. An 18-month-old in the Camry sustained minor injures.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
