Head-On Crash on Avenue 7 in Madera County Sends Several People to Hospital

 
MADERA COUNTY, CA (March 21, 2023) – Multiple people were hospitalized after a head-on accident on Avenue 7 in Madera County Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on March 18, at the intersection with Road 25. According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Nissan was traveling west on Avenue 7 when it went off the roadway. As the driver attempted to regain control of the car, they crashed head-on with a Toyota Camry heading east.
 
First responders found one person pinned in one of the cars. They transported three people to a local hospital with major injuries.
 
Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
