Rider Suffers Major Injuries after Hit by SUV on 580 Freeway in Tracy

 
TRACY, CA (June 17, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident on 580 Freeway in Tracy on Friday morning, June 10.
 
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. just west of Corral Hollow Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV heading eastbound on the freeway when it drove into the center divider for unknown reasons.
 
It then rolled over into the wrong lanes of the freeway and struck both the motorcyclist and a tractor-trailer.
 
As a result, both the motorcyclist and the SUV driver suffered major injuries.
 
An air ambulance took the rider to a hospital for treatment.
 
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. An investigation is underway.
