Speeding Rider Suffers Major Injuries after Colliding with Truck on 116th Street East in Antelope Valley
ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA (April 26, 2022) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after an accident at 116th Street East and East Avenue T in the northeast Antelope Valley on Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened around 4:36 p.m. on April 23 just bear the Jackrabbit Flats Wildlife Sanctuary. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was driving recklessly at a high rate speed when it collided with a white GMC pickup truck pulling a trailer.
When officers arrived, they found the rider with significant head trauma and was unconscious but breathing.
A helicopter took the rider to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
A SigAlert was issued, shutting down East Avenue T from 116th Street East to 106th Street East for the investigation and cleanup.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash.
