Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Tour Bus Accident on Highway 101 [Willits, CA]

Rider Airlifted after Tour Bus Accident on Highway 101 near Reynolds Highway in Willits

 
WILLITS, CA (September 7, 2021) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries in an accident involving a tour bus on Highway 101, Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on September 4, at about 3:51 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a motorcycle and a tour bus collided near the intersection with Reynolds Highway.
 
As per reports, the motorcyclist was run over by the tour bus as a result of the collision.
 
An air ambulance later transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the tour bus remained and cooperated with investigators. Officials confirmed that the tour bus did not have passengers at the time of the accident.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
